Visit with Tracie's family

The drive down to Tracie's in Nampa was interesting.

We encountered firefighters near Kooski, ID, working on a forest fire close to the highway, and a helicopter loading water to douse it. The smoke was very thick and unpleasant for quite some distance.

We arrived in Nampa about 5:30 in the afternoon, and when Tracie & LeRoy got home from work, we went out to Chicago Connection for Pizza.

We stayed home most of Saturday and visited. The children, played with the 5 birds, jumped on the trampoline with the sprinkler on in that afternoon.

The neighbors and LeRoy's mom came over for dinner and Arlyn's birthday cake and ice cream later in the afternoon.

Ryan has wanted to play Alto Sax, along with the percussion instruments he already plays in the band, so LeRoy presented him with a 'rent to own' instrument while we were there.

Saturday night we drove down to Salt Lake City and stayed overnight so as to have Darla and the children at the airport for their 10:20 A.M. flight back to Chicago.
