"Mini" Arnold & Ida Plowman Family Reunion

This past weekend (7-1,2,3,4) a 'mini' Arnold & Ida Plowman family reunion was held at Fairmont Hot Springs near Anaconda, Montana.
Bruce and partner, Pam, from Coon Rapids, MN, flew in to Great Falls, Mt. on June 27th and joined us on Saturday after spending time in Glacier National Park.
Eldon and wife, Michele, drove up from Clinton, Utah on Saturday afternoon.
Arlyn and I hauled our "home on wheels" down to the RV park at Fairmont on Saturday afternoon. (That seemed to be the congregating place)
Elaine and husband, John, had intended to join us, but Elaine isn't able to travel yet, since she is recovering from spinal surgery.
WE SURE MISSED THEM !
7-1 After everyone arrived we sat and visited at our campsite, caught up on the news, and then grilled steaks.
7-2 We all met in the morning and drove to Georgetown Lake and had breakfast (brunch actually). Following a tour around part of the lake and a picture taking session of the Lake and the Pioneer Mountains, we drove into Phillpsburg.
We visited the world renowned "SWEET PALACE" and each bought a collection of our favorite candies. We perused some of the quaint shops on Main Street and then Arlyn, Bruce, Pam, and Eldon went up to Granite Ghostown. "Shell" and I drove back to Fairmont and rested.
Tara and her family drove down from Lolo, Mt. in the late afternoon, and we all enjoyed a hamburger fry and visited during the evening.
The sunset that evening was beautiful.
7-3 Monday we drove into Butte and took in some of the local attractions. First we ate at the original "Pork Chop John's". We drove up to the Speculator Mine Disaster Memorial, to the Berkley Pit (and giftshop), then to the Butte Mall. After retiring to our respective lodging for a rest, we went into Anaconda for dinner at "Big Jim's" steakhouse.
We took a drive up to Lost Creek Campground in hopes of seeing some mountain sheep or goats, but they must have known we were coming and hid from our view!
7-4 We all met for breakfast in the Fairmont Resort dining room, then said our goodbyes.

What a wonderful time together, and we discussed where we might meet for another reunion.
