This is us on Mothers Day 2006, at our daughter, Tracie's in Nampa, Idaho. (Butch is on the right! LOL). I had been staying with Tracie and family the previous week, helping out after both she and her husband LeRoy had undergone surgeries. On Friday our daughter Tara and family showed up from Lolo, MT., for the weekend, and later when Arlyn "Butch" drove down from Helena to bring me back home, he had Darla and her two children with him !! They had flown from Michigan to Helena the previous Wed. (It was a well kept "secret" that they were all going to come and surprise me for Mother's Day and to celebrate my big "60th" birthday.)
The three girls took me out to lunch on Saturday and shopping for a tiffany lamp as a gift for the occasions. I've wanted a tiffany ever since I can remember. (Which, these days, sometimes isn't more than a few hours!! ) LOL
It was quite a crowd with 15 for the weekend, but we put all but the 2 little grandchildren in Tracie and LeRoy's camper to sleep, and we all pitched in with the cooking. It was a wonderful weekend with all our family together, with the exception of Darla's husband, Jim, who had to stay in Michgan for work.
There is no better gift than the gift of having family together!
