We took Pearle's sister Beverly camping one weekend up by Lincoln, Mt. We picked a nice roomy spot on the riverbend, where we found an interesting hand hewn canoe. (Must have been left by Lewis and Clark on their Expedition west!!)
We took a ride Saturday into the back country, and saw the beginning of a forest fire. When we got to Cooper Lake we stopped for a picnic. While we were there helecopters came and scooped water from the lake to dump on the fire.
Arlyn took this picture. I'm not sure where it is, but it was so beautiful, I had to share it.
Of course we couldn't go to Lincoln area without stopping at the world famous High Country Beef Jerky factory. (The honeykist is my favorite)
After attending the little Methodist Church in Lincoln on Sunday morning,( about 15 people in attendance) we packed up.
We left the campground early evening as the blazing summer sun was begining to set.
