Emily and Shawn John and Em
We stayed with Arlyn's sister, Elaine and husband John for a few days while we were in Grand Rapids, MI. They had a birthday celebration for Pearle on the 18th. Their daughters, Nicole and Emily came. Nicole's husband was out of town, but her 3 girls came with her, and Emily's husband Shawn accompanied her. Darla and Jim, Nat and Tommy came also. We had a great time together.
Elaine will be going to New York again in early June for more tests to determine whether surgery is indicated to drain the cyst on her spinal cord and prohibit it's growth. The mobility that she has lost can not be reversed, but we are praying for a solution that will prohibit further deterioration. We are trusting God for his perfect will to be done, and the grace to accept whatever he has in store.
