Vacation 2006 Day 6-8

After a moderate day of rest on Tuesday, Wednsday we drove over to Red Lodge, Montana, looked over the town, ate dinner, then spent the night there.

In the morning we ate breakfast at a "Yuppie" little restaurant. The food was unusual and very delicious as well as nutritious. (Well, discounting the whipped cream and real Maple Syrup on my peach french toast!!)

Following breakfast we drove over the Beartooth Highway , through Cooke City into Yellowstone National Park.(As you can see, it was somewhat smokey through the Beartooth)
We saw a lot of Bison, some Mountain Sheep, and some moose on the way down to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where we spent the night.

Of course the Teton Range was spectaular eventhough it was smokey there as well.

On the way back from Wyoming we spent more time in Yellowstone Park. We saw some Elk, and a couple of Bald Eagles and watched "Old Faithful" erupt.

Early on Saturday morning we reluctantly deposited Trina and Dennis at Helena Regional Airport, for their flight back to Erie, PA. We were sad to see them leave. It was so wonderful sharing our beautiful state, and some quality time with them.

If you would like to view all the photos we took while on this vacation, please feel free to visit this site and enjoy. We wish we could have taken all of you with us!!
